TCP's First Look Reception and Hard Hat Fundraiser a success!
On Friday, February 20th, the Center Project gave
the community a glimse of mid-Missouri's new LGBT community
center. This reception and fundraiser allowed attendees to enjoy
appetizers and live music, while walking through the new space
and view floorplans depicting what items needed to be purchased.
Donations from this event have allowed the Center Project volunteers
to purchase paint, flooring, furniture and more!
TCP has started a NEW social and support group for lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer adoptive, foster & birth
parents, and parents in planning. The group meeting the first
Thursday of the month from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist
Church (directions). Child care
provided. Click here for more information.
There are a lot of ways you can get involved with
The Center Project. You can help us staff our booth at a community
event. It's really easy and there will be an "old-timer" TCP
person with you. If you don't want to volunteer publicly there
is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes on. You can help
make our mid-Missouri famous homemade dog and cat treats. We
also need help with folding and cutting our brochures. Do you
have experience writing grants? If so, we can use your help.
Check out our volunteer web page
to see all our volunteer opportunities.
